That is why kamal hasan is heard to have demanded 100 Crores as the price for distribution rights of Hindi, Telugu and Tamil versions. When breachig the 100 Crores mark was doubted, he gambled to get in talks with TV channel managements to have a direct release of ‘Vishwaroopam’ in TVs. This could obviously affect the business of theater and distributors. Having known about this gamble of Kamal, theater associations and distributors in Tamil Nadu have warned him about banning of ‘Vishwaroopam’ if such plans are not stopped.
