From the moment Megastar Chiranjeevi has left tinsel town, there is no question of top-chair in Tollywood, as none of the star-heroes are fit for occupying it. Though our star heroes are giving hits, they are unable to fill the slot of that missing No.1 Hero. Why?
Undoubtedly, there are only four contestants for the top chair of Tollywood. Only Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, Ramcharan and Jr NTR had that charisma of becoming No.1 hero in Tollywood, and maybe we can add the name of Prabhas too. But none of them are delivering continuous hits, and making movies at proper intervals. After delivering, blockbusters, every one of them are delivering flops. Only when these heroes deliver at least four blockbusters in a row, they can be called as No.1 hero of Tollywood.
Moreover, the market of Mahesh Babu is not captured by anyone, while Pawan and Charan are having mega-fan base to bring back their investments. Similarly, Jr NTR's mass-market remained untouched, even though Prabhas proved that he is capable of mass-action entertainers. As long as market remains separated for these heroes, none can make it to top slot. Only if a hero can capture the markets of other heroes, he can stand at top slot, but otherwise there will be top star-heroes but no No.1 hero.
