Talking about the movie’s release to media, King Nagarjuna said he was warned by many people not to make the movie which is based on the subject of lord Shiva, as many films in the past had to face problems. Interestingly, most of the times the notion was proved right. Check out the following examples. DAKSHAYAGNAM: Late NTR was the hero of this movie. Unfortunately, during the production stages of the film, NTR’s eldest son Nandamuri Ramakrishna was died. Then, NTR took an oath that he would never act the role of lord Shiva and he withstood his promice throughout his career.
ANJI: Chiranjeevi was the hero of this movie. MS Syam Prasad Reddy, the producer of this movie, had to incur big bucks for this movie. The prolonged shoot of this movie led the producer to suffer financial losses.
* However, Chiranjeevi’s ‘Sri Manjunadh’ was a super hit in Karnataka and had a decent run in AP. So, above assumptions might not always be right.
