Young Rebel Star prabhas’s new movie ‘Mirchi’, which is expected to release for Pongal, 2013, is now being planned to release it on 21st December. It is a known thing that Ram Charan’s ‘Naayak’ and Venkatesh’s ‘Shadow’ are also slated for Pongal release. Since very big amounts were spent on ‘Naayak’, the movie will occupy 70% of the screens for Pongal. On the other hand, ‘Shadow’ is expected to be released in Suresh Movies leased theaters. Subsequently, ‘Mirchi’ might not get required number of theaters for its Pongal release. So, the makers have thought to prepone the release date of the movie to 21st December.
However, Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu’s multi starrer ‘Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ is also hitting the screens on 21st December and this date had been confirmed long ago. So, we have to wait and see if there is any dates clash between ‘Mirchi’ and ‘SVSC’ or the makers will prefer two different release dates for their movies
